What We Do

We aim to provide a service that assists our client from start to finish.

Advice
Years of experience has allowed us to garner extensive knowledge and an established network of suppliers, meaning we are able to advise the very best product for our clients’ hugely varied project requirements. Whether the project is a historic restoration, a high-end fit out or a large scale commercial project, we are confident that we can provide the perfect solution.

Install
We are privileged to have worked on some of London’s most recognisable properties and postcodes; trusted by our clients to deliver an installation service that is reflective of the prestige of the project. Non-adversarial, open and flexible, we are happy to work on sites of all sizes and requirements, from hotels to private residences, installing anything from parquet flooring to wide-engineered planks.

Restoration
We have undertaken many projects in historic buildings, and have assisted clients in the restoration and recovery of the existing flooring. We understand and appreciate the importance of heritage features and the trust entrusted in us to work carefully to return them to former glories.

Who Are We?

Hamish Anderson joined Campbell Contract Flooring in 1998, a family business first founded in 1945, and was tutored by the second generation of the family business, Peter.

During his 30 years at Campbells, Hamish has built a strong reputation for his expertise in guiding clients to select the right product for each project, whilst learning and developing the strong principles that the company is built upon.

Hamish’s role as MD sees him in the driving seat of the business, ensuring that we continue to provide a industry leading service.

John Thorpe brings his experience in the market with Thorpes Joinery to provide a strategic direction for the business, and will be keenly involved to ensure Hamish and his team have the resources required to develop the company.

We have a strong team, many of whom have remained with the company for many years, helping to establish and embody the values that the company is built upon.

Why Thorpes Flooring?

The acquisition of CCF and formation of Thorpes Flooring has been at the forefront of John’s mind for a while, and he believes that this move can neatly fill an existing gap in the market.

“We often encounter flooring installation on sites that we work on, and there is often crossover between the two products so this makes complete sense. However, I was keen to ensure that when a partnership was made that it was the right one, not just for us, but for both companies and the wider industry.

In Hamish and his team we have established just such a partnership. Crucially, we both do business in the same way and share very similar values, quite simply aiming to do so the right way - honest, open and flexible”.
— John Thorpe, Group Managing Director

Hamish shares John’s view that the two parties are a natural match thanks to the shared values that form the foundations of both companies.

There is an obvious synergy between flooring and joinery, but we are hugely enthusiastic about this new venture due to the shared values that we have, namely, honesty, integrity and loyalty.

This can be seen in many ways but the shared longevity and staff retention of both companies are clear signs that we have similar principles that will allow us to continue to develop and offer our clients and unbeatable service
— Hamish Anderson, Managing Director
